Husband of murdered teacher offers full cooperation to the police

Daniel Sfeir, husband of the murdered teacher Silvia Sfeir whose body was found yesterday in an open field in Tigre district, and so far pointed by the press as the main suspect on the case, offered the police today his full cooperation to elucidate the murder.
“Let them investigate me, I have no problem,” he said today to a local news station. “We are devastated,” he added. “I haven’t heard from the police yet, I am waiting.”
He also reaffirmed he held a good relationship with his wife and guaranteed he provided the police all the information he had on his wife’s disappearance. He also denied having money problems and a violent relationship with his wife as the press reported.
Earlier today, Daniel Prigent, brother of murdered teacher accused his brother-in-law of withholding information. “He must know something we don’t, and he is not saying it.”
“We said a thousand times that we had no connection with him [Sfeir] as he hasn’t been good to my sister. But there is a great distance from not having the best relationship to what finally happened. I really hope he has nothing to do with this.”
Asked about the first versions that came to light indicating that his sister left her home by a choice of her own, he said: “We never thought she had gone in company of anyone. She left in a vehicle of someone she knew; hence she was taken against her will. There are no mafias or anything like in this case.”
